Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Trellis Care Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across its
operations and value chain by 2050.
As a provider of supported living, domiciliary care and specialist care services, we recognise our
responsibility to minimise environmental impact whilst delivering safe, effective and person-
centred services. We will integrate sustainability into governance, procurement, workforce
planning, service delivery, property management and partnership working.
This Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed annually and published on the Trellis Care website.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline reporting period: 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
This represents Trellis Care Limited's first formal carbon baseline. The baseline year will be used
to measure future carbon reduction performance and progress towards Net Zero.
Baseline Year Emissions (2024/25)
Scope 1 Emissions: 1.20 tCO2e
Scope 2 Emissions: 0.85 tCO2e
Scope 3 Emissions: 18.95 tCO2e
Total Emissions: 21.00 tCO2e
Scope 1 includes direct emissions from fuel consumption and controlled operational activities.
Scope 2 includes indirect emissions from purchased electricity.
Scope 3 includes employee commuting, business travel, home working, purchased goods and
services, waste, water consumption, ICT equipment and supply-chain activities.
Current Emissions Reporting (2025/26)
Scope 1 Emissions: 1.05 tCO2e
Scope 2 Emissions: 0.72 tCO2e
Scope 3 Emissions: 17.23 tCO2e
Total Emissions: 19.00 tCO2e
Overall reduction achieved against baseline: 9.5%
This reduction has been achieved through digitalisation, reduction in paper consumption,
improved workforce deployment, virtual meetings and enhanced operational efficiency.

Environmental performance will form part of organisational strategic planning and continuous improvement activities.
Declaration and Verification Statement
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance. Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and the UK Government Environmental Reporting Guidelines.

The information contained within this Carbon Reduction Plan is accurate to the best of our knowledge.
Appropriate systems are being developed to improve the accuracy and completeness of emissions reporting. Annual reviews will be undertaken to monitor progress.
The organisation is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Future versions of this plan will incorporate increasingly detailed emissions data, supplier engagement information and verified operational carbon metrics as data maturity improves.
